Why isn't the SmartDot pairing with my device?

There could be a few reasons why your SmartDot is not pairing:
 
 
1. If the phone see's another SmartDot in close proximity, it may not be communicating with the desired device. Move at least 15 feet away from that device and attempt to pair again. 
 
 
2. If there is another Bluetooth-enabled device near the SmartDot, that device could be trying to connect with the SmartDot. Move at least 15 feet away from that device and attempt to pair again. 
 
3. Is the SmartDot already paired? To check, go to your phone settings and select "Bluetooth." Look for "SmartDot" which will be listed below the category called "My Devices." Select the circled "i." Select "Forget this device." Open FleetMode app and select "Settings." Select "Manage SmartDot vehicles" to follow the steps to pair. 
 
4. The battery is dead. The SmartDot's battery should last 2-3 years. After this time, the SmartDot should be discarded and a replacement should be ordered. If it stops working before this, please fill out a ticket or contact the Help Desk.
